# Temporary Water at 1284 Pleasantridge

I called Los Flores to understand the process of getting temporary water to our now vacant property. They indicated all that was needed was to have a plumber tap into the supply line on the property-side of the water meter and install a spigot. They would turn on the water once that was complete.

We solicited multiple bids for a temporary spigot, and got a wide range of results, from $1,280 (Free Flow) to $600 (New Generation). We initially got a bid from High Speed Rooter and Plumbing which was $900, with a request from them to allow them to counter our best offer. They then offered $550 once we received $600 bid from New Generation. So we went with High Speed. They did the work the next day, and installed a spigot with a removable key. So once Los Flores turns on the meter, we should have temporary water to maintain our pool.

Looks like Becky got a better deal. She used New Design Plumbing and was charged $452.55 + tax ($272.55 parts + $180 labor).
