Help Altadena Heritage make a community wide plan

Dear Altadenans,

We’re so grateful that you attended The Altadena You Want: Community-Based Urbanism one week ago. Your presence–and your passion–reminded us why this work matters so much.

Thanks, too, to our wonderful guests Michele Zack, Liz Moule, Steve Lewis, and Marianne Cusato.

Planning is not easy work, even in steady times. This is why your voice is so vital. Altadenans deserve a place that is beloved, soulful, and dignified–and that facilitates belonging.

What are we going to do now? We’re going to make a forceful case that the County take planning seriously. The Community Coalition for Altadena Recovery is just one place where we’ll do that.

What can you do? Many things: (1) Take some time to read the West San Gabriel Valley Area Plan, here; (2) Email kathryn@bos.lacounty.gov and say “I support the work Altadena Heritage is doing on planning: the rebuild of our town matters just as much as the rebuilds of our homes”; and (3) Tell your friends and neighbors about the work we’re doing; and (4) Stay active, vocal, and positive.

We’ll be inviting you to a follow-up meeting soon. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

All our best,

Hans Allhoff, Chair and the Board of Altadena Heritage
