For those of us with homes destroyed, it is important for the safety of the remaining neighbors, that we complete these 2 tasks, so the sheriff can respond in an effective manner.
We can discuss this further at the next Zoom or post your links here as a REPLY if you have extra signs or stickers etc..
Will you please provide the details for the “Letter of Agency”? Is it a form from the Sheriff? I couldn’t find anything on the Sheriff’s website.Thank you.
We learned during a presentation to the ACONA (Altadena Coalition of Neighborhoods) committee a few weeks back. The sheriff deputy was describing what is needed to prevent squatters. The Letter of Agency, No Trespassing Signs (and the orange plastic fencing ; nobody is doing the fencing - it gets stolen).
To complete the Letter of Agency, you must present yourself to the Sheriff’s Station front desk. They are open most times. Someone will come out and complete the form with your information. It should take only 5 minutes.
I tried postal mailing them the form but it was rejected. I guess they need you in person to meet their current policy regulations.
A BIG THANK YOU for using the threaded discussion to post your question so all can benefit. Thanks Angela!
